Nectar of Dhamma

Vipassana Long Course Centre – also known as Dhamma Rasa or ‘Nectar of Dhamma’ – will be the second Vipassana centre in the West specially designed to hold long courses for returning students. It will also be the first dedicated Vipassana long-course centre in the southern hemisphere.

An ideal site

The centre is located in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland, on the outskirts of the town of Pomona, 25 minutes from the popular coastal town of Noosa and two hours north of Brisbane. The climate is sub-tropical, with warm sunny days and cool nights. The Centre is easily accessible by public transport.

The land is 16 hectares (40 acres) in size and it is already partially cleared. It is ideally suited for a centre, with plenty of space for meditation hall, accommodation, and other facilities.

There is a modest house and buildings on the property group sittings and one-day courses are being held.

The property is located right next to Dhamma Rasmi, a long-established Vipassana centre in the tropical state of Queensland, Australia. This is a unique opportunity to create a new long-course centre that will be able to draw on the support and experience of Dhamma Rasmi.
