Centre development and plans
A master plan emerges
Dhamma Rasa’s planning committee has already developed a concept master plan for the long course centre, envisioning a fully-developed centre capable of accommodating 100 students and around 15 servers. This comprehensive plan includes a large pagoda, main meditation hall, mini meditation hall, AT residences, student and server accommodation, kitchen/dining/office building, communal toilets & laundry and service/utility rooms.
The aim is to submit a Development Application to local council n 2025. Meanwhile, the planning committee will continue to focus on design concepts for individual buildings with the first priorities being student accommodation and the main meditation hall.
A team of experienced old student architects has already been formed and an individual architect has been allocated to each major building within the course compound. They will create the specific floor and elevation plans for each building and a lead architect will coordinate all the plans and then certify and submit the Development Application to local council.
