Finance and donations
Thanks to the generosity of old students worldwide, in January this year the Dhamma Rasa Trust settled the contract to purchase 40 acres of land for A$2.2 million, for a new long course centre called Dhamma Rasa.
The settlement and purchase occurred with about 80% dana and 20% loans and within one month, most of the loans were repaid.
This places the Centre in an excellent position to develop facilities sequentially, however substantial funds will be required to commence and continue building and construction.
Donations and no-interest loans are therefore welcome for the general development process or for specific building projects.
Approximate estimates for some of the projects are as follows:
"This is a historic occasion. People who give dana for building a centre are actually giving service not only to those who come here for the first or second course, and not only to the people who will be coming here in a few years. They are planting a seed in this land, where Dhamma will grow; and for coming centuries this land will be a lighthouse of Dhamma."
